Issues setting up a developers account
Summary: wlcollectiblesllc is experiencing difficulties with their eBay account registration, receiving an error indicating that their account was rejected due to problems with the provided data. developer-support@ebay.com from eBay Developer Support suggested contacting their support team and using the "Contact Us" form. Upon following these steps, wlcollectiblesllc received a rejection email with vague references to internal eligibility criteria. Other participants, including mightimatt02, kocasehits, and blazincardsllc, shared similar experiences, noting a lack of transparency in the process and difficulties in reaching actual support personnel. It appears to be a widespread issue with no clear resolution, as communication with eBay's support team remains challenging.
anyone have any idea how I can get past this.

I tried to create an account and it says I have one. I try to log in and I get this message.
This shouldnt be that difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

·1 month agoI'm thinking you have to have a certain amount of sales along with reviews to get auto-accepted. There is just no clarity in the whole process.

·1 month agoThis is a known, widespread mess right now, not something specific to you. Developer account rejection posts have been piling up on eBay's community forums, more frequently in recent months. The standard rejection language is an automated line about "internal eligibility and risk controls" — and multiple sellers report the appeal form itself auto-rejects instantly, meaning no human ever actually reviews the case. One 15-year seller in good standing describes submitting the rejection appeal over 30 times with zero response, and confirms regular customer service reps have no access to the developer support queue at all. So — you're not missing an obvious fix. This is a broken process on eBay's side right now.
Help @developer-support@ebay.com How do we get in touch with a real person here to help us? This is the safest way for us sellers to get data.

OP1 month agoThanks for the information. when I submit the request I receive the following email notification immediately:
We’re reaching out to provide an update on your eBay developer account activation. Following our review, we’re unable to approve activation at this time.
As part of eBay’s standard evaluation process, developer accounts are assessed against internal eligibility and risk controls. Based on this assessment, your request does not meet the criteria required for activation. These controls help protect our platform and community, and while we cannot share specific details of the evaluation, decisions are made in accordance with eBay’s policies.
You may consider reapplying at a later time.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
eBay Developers Program

·1 month agoI'm going through the same process, did the same steps as you and got the exact same responses...very little transparency as to what is actually going on.

OP1 month agoJust reaching out again to see if there is something I can do to help out. With what I am building it will allow me to post hundreds / thousands of listing. That equals nothing but money for eBay. I just don't want this to go to the wayside and have to read the same issue over and over again. I deal with application integration all the time. Let's get this fixed.
