Inventory API error 25012 despite valid ENABLED WAREHOUSE Inventory Location
Hello,
I am using the eBay Inventory API in the Production environment to create listings on EBAY_US.
I consistently receive the following error:
Error 25012 – Invalid inventory location. Your item's location was not filled in.
I have verified the following through the eBay APIs:
Inventory Location status: ENABLED
Location type: WAREHOUSE
Country: JP
Postal code: populated
The unpublished Offer contains the correct
merchantLocationKeylistingDuration: GTCInventory Item quantity is populated
Fulfillment, Payment, and Return Policies are all for EBAY_US
The Offer marketplace is EBAY_US
I also created a completely new WAREHOUSE Inventory Location through the Inventory API and assigned that new merchantLocationKey to the Offer. GET Offer confirms that eBay has stored the new key correctly, but the same 25012 error still occurs.
As an additional diagnostic, I called the official getListingFees operation on the unpublished Offer before calling publishOffer. getListingFees itself returns the same error 25012.
Therefore, the error is reproducible before publishOffer is called.
I also verified the Production OAuth authorization flow and the required Inventory API OAuth scope.
Could someone please confirm whether a Japan-based seller listing on EBAY_US through the Inventory API requires any additional Inventory Location fields or account configuration beyond an ENABLED WAREHOUSE location containing country and postalCode?
I attempted to submit this issue through eBay Developer Technical Support, but ticket creation currently fails with:
“Failed to create CRM incident. Incident path not found.”
Thank you.
