Developer Program registration auto-rejected — requesting manual review
Summary: bespokelayers3dlaser is seeking assistance from the eBay Developer Support Team regarding their online business, Alorta. After completing the registration for the eBay Developers Program, their account activation was rejected due to unspecified issues. They submitted a detailed case for manual review but received another automated rejection indicating non-compliance with eligibility criteria. bespokelayers3dlaser clarifies their intended, restricted usage of the eBay APIs and requests a manual review or guidance on any corrections required, offering to provide further information privately.
Hello eBay Developer Support Team,
I recently registered for the eBay Developers Program to build a private, internal integration for my own independent e-commerce business, Alorta (https://alorta.com).
After completing the registration and email verification, my developer account activation was rejected with the generic message concerning “problems with the data provided or other irregularities.”
I then used the official “My account registration was rejected” form and submitted a detailed description of my use case. Within seconds of submitting the form, I received another automated email stating that the account did not meet internal eligibility and risk-control criteria. Because the response was immediate, it does not appear that my information or use case received a manual review.
My intended use is limited and seller-specific:
The application will be used internally to manage only my own authorized eBay seller account.
It will initially operate only in the Sandbox environment.
It will use OAuth and the Sell Account and Sell Inventory APIs to manage business policies, inventory items, marketplace-specific offers, and listing publication.
It will not access unrelated seller accounts.
It will not scrape, redistribute, commercialize, or sell eBay data.
It will not use eBay data for AI training, market-price aggregation, or competitor analysis.
It will follow the eBay API License Agreement, data-protection requirements, seller policies, and VeRO intellectual-property rules.
All registration information I provided is accurate. Could an eBay staff member please arrange a manual review of my developer account or advise whether there is a specific detail that needs to be verified or corrected?
I can provide my registered developer username, email address, and any verification information privately. I will not post personal account information publicly.
Thank you for your assistance.
