Developer account registration rejected without explanation — established business seller blocked from API integration
Summary: velmont-sia is an eBay business seller experiencing issues getting their Developer Program registration approved. Their application was rejected without specific feedback, and they are attempting to resolve the issue as their account is recognized by eBay systems but inaccessible. They have submitted a request form and are seeking confirmation and guidance from eBay Developer Support for manual review or correction of any errors in their registration.
Hello,
We are an established eBay business seller (seller ID: velmont-sia) seeking an internal integration using official eBay APIs only for our own seller account.
Our existing Developer Program registration was rejected with: “Your account registration was rejected due to problems with the data provided or other irregularities.” No email explained the reason. Password recovery recognizes the registered address, but we cannot access the Developer account, and registering again says the address is already in use.
The registered Gmail address is the same verified address used by our active eBay seller account. We have now found eBay's official “Get started with eBay APIs” guide, which says “Please use a business email address.” Could @developer-support@ebay.com please confirm whether the email domain caused this rejection? If so, how can we correct the EXISTING rejected registration without creating a duplicate? We can provide account/business verification privately.
Our intended use is internal seller/order/item reporting and customer-support messaging for our own account. Messaging automation would begin draft-only with human approval. This is not public SaaS, scraping, data resale/sharing or unsolicited messaging.
Today we completed the CAPTCHA and submitted the official “My account registration was rejected” support form. It cleared without a ticket number or explicit confirmation. Please confirm receipt and arrange a manual review, or tell us specifically what information must be corrected.
Thank you.
