My eBay Developers Program registration was rejected with the generic "problems with the data provided or other irregularities" message. I received no email and no explanation of what was wrong.
I have already submitted the official "My account registration was rejected" form through Developer Account Support and received no response.
I'm a used auto parts seller in Houston, Texas, operating under eBay username houstonautodonor. I source parts from licensed self-service salvage yards and resell them on eBay and locally.
I'm requesting API access for two internal purposes: pulling sold-price data on used auto parts so I can decide what's worth buying before I go to the yard, and managing my own listings and inventory. Right now I'm copying Terapeak results by hand — about 15 minutes per vehicle — and Terapeak has no export function, so the API is the only supported way to do this at any scale.
To be explicit: I'm not scraping eBay, not redistributing or reselling eBay data, not collecting user information, and not building anything for third parties.
Could an eBay staff member escalate this for manual review, or tell me specifically what needs correcting? I'm happy to provide verification through a private channel.
