Developer account activation declined, So I'm requesting manual review
Summary: ruggedhillstradingpost expressed frustration over their developer account registration being rejected by eBay without a specific reason. They explained that they need API access for personal sales tracking. tobaccocardyahoo responded, stating that the forum is not the right place for a manual review request and mentioned that eBay does not provide reasons for denials. 3d_printrite sought further advice on what to do after a declination.
Hi eBay Developer Support team,
My developer account registration was rejected, and my follow-up appeal came back immediately with the standard "internal eligibility and risk controls" auto-reply, with no specific reason given.
My eBay username is "ruggedhillstradingpost". I'm an individual seller requesting API access for a personal, single-account tool that I'm building: pulling my own order history (Sell Fulfillment API) and my own active listings (Sell Inventory API) to track profit and stay organized for taxes, instead of entering everything by hand. It runs locally on my own computer — no third-party access, no other users' data, nothing shared or redistributed.
Since this looks like an automated flag rather than a reviewed decision, could someone take a manual look? Happy to provide anything else needed.
Thank you for your time,
Daniel

·3 weeks agoThis not the place to request a manual review.
There are other sellers who have been declined for the same request.
Ebay does not tell you why your request was denied. And did not before it was automated.

OP3 weeks agoNo reliable fix that I've found. Sounds like it's: appeal form once, post here in case a mod or dev-support actually sees it, and otherwise wait a while and reapply. Not a great answer, but it's the honest one right now.

OP3 weeks agoFair point, this isn't an official review queue, and you're right that eBay won't share the actual reason either way. I already went through the official appeal form and got the same generic auto-decline everyone here seems to get. Posting here was more of a last resort, since I've seen a couple mentions in similar threads of someone from eBay actually seeing these and stepping in. No guarantee, just better odds than silence. If you've come across an actual channel that gets a real person to look at these, I'd genuinely take that over hoping a mod scrolls by.
