Browse API use case clarification and no option to create support ticket
Summary: juan_815439 is seeking clarification on whether their use case with the eBay Browse API complies with the API License Agreement's restrictions on "seller arbitrage." They are building an internal application for researching eBay US listings and manually purchasing items that might later be resold in Argentina. Initial attempts to use AI-Assisted Support for clarification directed them back to the documentation, but they eventually discovered how to create a support ticket for a formal answer.
Hi, I have an active eBay Developer account and Production keys.
I am building a private internal application that uses the Browse API to research eBay US listings. All purchases on eBay are made manually by me. The application does not auto-buy, bid, submit offers, create listings, reprice eBay listings, or fulfill orders.
Some items I manually purchase on eBay may later be resold in Argentina.
Before submitting my Application Growth Check, I would like authoritative clarification on whether this use case is permitted under the API License Agreement’s “seller arbitrage” restriction.
I tried AI-Assisted Support, but it only referred me back to the documentation and does not show the documented “Proceed to Create a Ticket” option, even though my Developer Technical Support status is ACTIVE.
Could an eBay Developer Support representative please clarify whether this use case is permitted, or help me create a support ticket for a formal answer?
Thank you.
