So, what are you doing for Halloween costume?
I'm going as a pumpkin, with feet.
If anybody asks I am the Horseless Headsman.
AND I'm putting a business card with my eBay store's URL in every package.
Your turn.

·10 months agoI normally draw on some cat whiskers with a black tipped nose and car ears.
I have yard signs year-round in my yard one says a cat lady lives here and the other says Miss Kitty.
(By the way, I only have 1 cat, just so you know I don't hoard them, one is enough for this cat lady.)
But this year I may have to beg off due to my own medical issues. This getting old stuff is killing all the fun we old people have. I love seeing the kids all excited and cute coming to the door. I live by both an elementary and middle school. They do have a big party downtown, so the kids would walk by here on their way there and I would have at least 50, think I had over 100 one year. 😀
It was a fun way to spend the evening without going anywhere.
I haven't even put out any Halloween decor...sigh...Not a Happy Cat this Halloween.

·10 months agoWe have a crazy cat. Or we
thought we had a crazy cat
See, when she got older she would attack her back foot and growl and carry on so we thought she was crazy. Well, turns out she hurt her back in a tussle and when it pains her she reacts by biting her foot. Steroid shots help but I'm afraid she'll just have to live with it, but we not longer call her a crazy cat. Her name is YoYo.

·10 months agoI’m dressing up as a Halloweenie. People at my kids school festival loved it when I was volunteering at the hot dog sales booth, but found it both horrifying and hilarious when I was eating my own hot dog.

·10 months agoI'm going to be an old man that prefers not to have strangers about my property.
Ahhh. Living out here in the sticks has advantages.
50mph, no streetlights, no sidewalks, no door to door people. The very few that have come to the door over the years uninvited were asked by me "Are you illiterate?" They answer "No" and I ask why they coudn't read the no tresspassing sign next to the front gate and close the door.
The mormon missionaries didn't seem to get it but a polite call to Salt Lake City stopped that. I've got nothing against them, just don't like strangers coming right up to my front door, let alone their children...................

OP10 months agoThose things don't work. They always seem think that it doesn't apply to them.
So I took a different approach. At the head of my driveway just at the beginning of the walkway to my front door I got me a pen and paper and I made up my only sign.
Signs signs everywhere a sign You can't sop, no you can't look, you aren't supposed to be here.
And the sign said:
Since I put it up some months ago I've only been bothered once. "But I've got a city permit". At that point I put on my best impersonation of DOC from Back to the Future and then go berserk on them. Their reaction is worth the minor interruption.
Then further up the walk way there is a second sign
Even my neighbors have commented on it.

·10 months agoWith about 10 minor surgeries on my face from skin cancer (basil cells) - don't need no stinkin' costume. Most on my left side of my nose. Before that my close friend often said I looked much like the north end of a south bound horse. Those friends I have had since 1963- we still stay in contact - thanks to the "all most free" calling w/a little texting of pics ets. of the cell phone.3 are true friends (there were 4)

Hope you are doing better. I had a similar problem and when I ask the Mohs surgeon if I would have a scar..he said “yesâ€. I told him that wouldn’t be okay..I went to a plastic surgeon afterwards and the two inch opening from my lip to my nose was fixed and it looks perfect. It is always something…
Sending get well wishes.

·10 months agoComplexion has a lot to do with basal cell problems.
My dad (tow-headed) had to be treated monthly. The doctor froze them. Very painful. He was pretty tough for being in his nineties, he never winced once, and said he liked the doctor because he worked fast.
He also said it was from plowing with a team and not wearing a hat and that I would probably not have to worry, having a dark complexion.
Halloween costume? black sheep:)

·10 months agoI had skin cancer, too, but it was from how they used to treat acne. Those of us who looked like the dark side of the moon were parked under sun lamps for long periods of time.
I didn't scar a lot from the facial surgery as I have tough skin, but I'm kind of funny looking, anyway, so I don't need any mask for Halloween lol.

·10 months agoI’m planning to dress as a werewolf.
Since the full moon is almost a week after Halloween, I’ll just look like a normal human that night.
