Lock old threads instead of waiting for a response that won't receive replies?
I thought this was planned for the new boards, but is there a reason that previously locked threads and old threads that will be locked if someone replies to them aren't just being locked en masse right now?

I agree, I have seen that for quite a while and am wondering if it will repopulate with more recent Posts.

Good question and good point. I have Reported a number of older threads that may or may not have been previously locked but had recent replies.

Were older locked threads "unlocked" when they were migrated to the new platform? It seems that in some instances that may have happened. Any insights that can be shared would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @mr_lincoln ! That is correct. During the migration many old threads have lost their "locked" setting and us and the Moderators are locking them as they are flagged to us.

·1 month agoI was wondering that; it seems like people who aren't familiar with the forums are drudging up old threads without realizing it. It'd probably be easier on everyone if they were just locked ahead of time so folks don't think "Oh, I should just reply to this!" when they're not technically supposed to.
