How many items sold on eBay are the result of kidnapped children and women slave labor?
Children and women slave labor is common in many countries. Children and women are kidnapped and put to work assembling or making items. This includes toys, clothing, acessories, jewelry, paintings, carvings, counterfeit brands etc.

If a product is sold from or made in China and has a name you do not know or absolutely no name at all, it can be assumed that the product was produced through slave labour, but one major fallacy of this post is the idea that women and children are exploited by such labour, in reality, it is actually mostly men in poor places in China, particularily in the south, and even if a product is not produced through slave labour, they are known to use slaves to sort and distribute items sold through online shops like Temu and Aliexpress. (If you care about human rights, do not use either of these sites)
Edit: I collect military uniforms and related items, and a common sight on eBay is chinese military hats and gas masks. These items are known to be produced in chinese prisons using slave labour, and they are also known to be of very poor quality and should be avoided.

@powell-collectibles
I think it's more like 441 items, since that's how many I sold last year and I am the epitome of and certainly would be defined as women slave labor on ebay........

Those same items are being sold in big box stores all over the U.S. so what is ebay to do? All you can do is search online for: "What countries use slaved or forced labor to produce goods" save that list and when shopping on ebay in the item specifics area if the country of origin is one of them or there is a photo of a tag showing made in one, do not buy the item.
