·2 years agoOh - and don't draw any attention to the feedback you left.
Leaving False Positives is a Defect and will not work in your favour.
Schtum.

·2 years agoYou left a False Positive feedback for your buyer , for that receiver.
After 96 hours, a seller can cancel any sale that is Unpaid, and get any fees due on the sale refunded.
The buyer gets a Strike for non-payment and cannot leave feedback.
I would suggest contacting eBay through their social media and asking for a mulligan on this newbie mistake.
The mistake being that you did not know how to cancel the Unpaid Item by opening an Unpaid Item Dispute.
Write out your problem before posting it.
Keep emotions and wild accusations out of it.
You walked into this with your eyes closed and cannot blame eBay for your fall.
You are asking that the debt be forgiven. Focus on that.
KISS.
The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
Best wishes.

Is this about the Marantz receiver you sold for $4,000 on Feb 27, 2024? The listing is no longer available because it's more than 90 days after it ended, but it was: https://www.ebay.com/itm/335275304558 (see screenshot below.)
If you didn't cancel this transaction properly, then you have to pay the eBay fees for the transaction. Why do you think you should not pay for it? Why do you keep saying it did not sell, when the evidence says that it did sell?
You asked about this back in April, but you never responded to the reply you got then:

You left the buyer a positive feedback with a not-very-positive comment (which BTW is a violation of eBay policy) so I guess there must have been an issue with this transaction which you did not handle properly. But we need to know what really happened to be able to advise you how to deal with it (or how you should have dealt with it).

You sold 1 item.

OP2 years agoI never sold it. You have pay. To list. It?

·2 years agoIt finished with a winning bid, so it looks like it sold. If you did not file non payment from the buyer, then eBay thinks you received the money from the buyer. It's looking like you did not file for non payment, and now owe $600 for a $4000 sale that you say never really took place.

·2 years agoYes, you did sell it.
If the buyer didn't pay, you needed to cancel the order for nonpayment.
