3 day heat wave now 96 degrees with real feel 102 degrees. In air conditioned bedroom. Can’t work.
Can’t take much more of this.
I barely go from air conditioning in bedroom to none in bathroom or to none in the kitchen.
Been inside for weeks!
Paid someone 4x to bring me groceries from supermarket as have history of 25x fainting on the street from these hazy hot humid days.
What I love now is laughing at watching, “Who’s on First?â€

·1 year agoI recommend putting on a damp shirt. That was my go to growing up in Chicago without air conditioning. It's so effective you may even get the chills.

·1 year agoOur AC has run almost constantly for the last 5-6 weeks. Heat index runs 95-110 almost daily
for the summer. Heat wave should end tonight with a high tomorrow of 75 degrees
and NO humidity.

My little window unit doesn't do much when it's like this.

·1 year agoCould you install a portable window unit in the front room?
In a two-story house I used to own, the upper floor was uncomfortably warm while the ground floor stayed cold, so I ended up putting one in each upstairs room window. I removed them in the fall/winter and stored in the garage until the next summer.
It helped level out my electric usage as well. Just a thought.

We can't hit past 70 degrees...LOL
Plus...we don't usually get rain until November...
I guess I picked the right place to live from Chicago to LA to Las Vegas to now San Francisco.
