I Was Just Reading the NY Post Online Edition and this popped up
It's nice to see that ebay ads are popping up in various places online, but every one of these are my listings. What's the point?

So, yours are about as useful as mine on MSN? Well, at least that means we’re both finally getting a bit of the spotlight, however dim it might be! 🤣

OP5 months agoThat is odd that it's sold items. Yes, it seems so. We are being advertised to ourselves. It's one thing to see ads for items you just looked at (which is a possibility given that I'm changing prices on my sterling products), but still, it's not very helpful.

·5 months agoI get these daily. Many times is is my own items but more often it is other peoples stuff. They do seem to be directed at the kind of stuff I have looked at. I use Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers with Yahoo being my home page.
I don't know who is tracking my activities. Is it just the internet browsers or does eBay feed them the information? How are they paid for the advertisements?

OP5 months agoThis was from my computer on Firefox. Chrome blocks the NYPost as a mal icious site. It actually blocks ebay too (oddly enough).
I haven't any P/L's nor ads off here so I'm not quite sure how they popped up.

·5 months agoI don't know, maybe to see if their tracking cookies are working? I know if I faced this scenario this blatant I would think about more or better security on my devices................................

OP5 months agoI tend to think it's an ebay glitch. I'm updating all of my prices over the last few weeks, so they might be prompting me to look at them again, like they do other's listings. IDK
