eBay is a big thief
I sold an item the other day the sale price plus the shipping cost amount to $82.50 after eBay got done stealing all their fees I needed a whopping $61.25. This is Highway robbery. I cannot believe the outrageous fees at eBay is charging these days and I will not sell anything ever again. They are nothing but thieves and crooks.

Let's see the calculations:
You sold the golf club grips for $75 + $7.50 shipping at a total of $82.50. (If this is the total, it looks like the buyer is in a state that doesn't collect sales tax.)
Fees are 13.6% of the total + $.40. ($11.22 + $.40=$11.62.)That is deducted from the buyer's payment of $82.50 which brings you down to $70.88.
From that $70.88, you need to purchase the shipping label. (Let's estimate the label cost of $9.) That brings you to $61.88, close to what you say you netted.
If you promoted your item, there would be a fee for that too.

OP1 month agoThis is first item I’ve sold in a while and could not believe they took 25% like I said I’m done. There are nothing but thieves.

·1 month agoeBay's fees for sellers are clearly posted and identified. Smart sellers check out this information to determine if selling their widget will result in the money they want/need. Your final value fee, as a seller, is calculated as a percentage of the item price, shipping and state sales tax plus there can be more fees, for instance if you promote.
