Please Help Me Identify My Baby Doll
I have a painted glass baby doll from the early 1900's. She has painted reddish hair and eyebrows. Her eyes are painted blue. She has glass limbs and a sewn body. There is not a designer label or marking anywhere on her body. Her clothes are distressed and falling apart but the doll is in excellent condition..

·2 years agoThe doll you describe is not likely to have been made of glass, although I have heard people use that term. It would be porcelain or bisque with a stuffed cloth body. It is usually on the back of the head where the doll would be marked. Many of them circa 1900 would have Germany or a number incised there. Distressed and falling apart clothes are indicative of age. Post a couple of pictures and we can help you. 🙂

There is absolutely no way to even attempt an ID without clear photos.
