old rubber doll
I was given an old rubber doll by my great-grandmother back in the 50s. It belonged to her; it is in terrible condition. The head (composite) is cracked and has fallen off. The rubber is splitting in numerous places. My question is ... should I add to the junk pile or sell to someone who knows how to restore it.

Dress her in a christening type of gown with a hat/bonnet. Display her in a carriage or sit her in a chair.
She's pretty - just don't put her in an attic or basement - the heat, damp, and humidity will deteriorate her faster. I don't think there's much you can do to her to stop that.
As said. someone would love to try and restore her.

·3 years agoI have seen many dolls in way worse shape than that one. Please don't add her to the landfill. There are many people who would love to get their hands on that doll to mend and redress her. If you can find any markings on the back of the head/neck (maybe a bit under the wig) or perhaps some marking on the stuffed rubber body, then you would know who made her.
