·9 months agoWell, first, I gather up all of the ketchup, fortune cookies and soy sauce packets I have accumulated throughout the year and put 6 assorted into medium zip lock bag. Then when the rugrats show up I give each a bag. Suddenly frees up a couple of large kitchen drawers.

·9 months agoLOL! I will bet that your house is a popular one to visit! I don't get any Halloweeners since my road is dark and the cars think that it is a racetrack.
How is everyone doing?
In spite of my being so careful, I did get Covid on Sept 18. Sure did wipe me out. Sore throat, fever, horrible fatigue. I had to skip a month's worth of chemo, which makes me nervous.
I was delaying my Covid booster since I had to wait until after my CT scan.
Hope that everyone is doing well!

·1 year agoPanthers and bob cats???? Whoa! We have bears, raccoons, opossums around here now and then. And a million dear.
I have some bags of chips in case I have some Halloweeners, although I haven't had any for many years.
And for the first time, my daughter won't be driving my grandson around since his football coach is taking him and some other players around his neighborhood.

OP1 year agoHi Denies sounds like you like you have plenty of animals and birdies ... PA sure has a lot of deer . We hit a Big Deer one night during our trade show travels years ... Our A 2 ton GMC vs a Deer ...... We cried ...

She died spread all over our truck .... Suddenly there was another Deer in mid air sitting on our hood the ... then she fell off and flee in front of a big truuk ..This is Deer Season .... be care full ....

·1 year agoOh Gosh, How terrible! Sorry about the deer and your truck! I was careful driving home from my daughter's house this past Sunday. As I pulled into the road that leads to my driveway, there were a dozen deer in my neighbor's yard that then ran into my back yard. Fortunately, they didn't run into my driveway in front of me, but I was going 5 mph, if that.
It finally rained here and we might get more rain in a few days. The days are in the 50's and the nights are in the 30's Ugh.

OP1 year agoWow good thing they did not run into you ... They are so beautiful ... until they run a load of them like you describe .... In another adventure with deer ... One of our 1 ton trucks ran right into the center of the grill we ... lots of damage .. Tut they sure are beautiful ..

·1 year agoWe need to change the Halloween title somehow. I hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I went to my daughter's house. There were a dozen people and about 20 different dishes.
Sure is cold today-20 degrees all day with a wind-chill of 15. I guess that my flowers that were still blooming, will soon be all dead. This is the coldest that it has been so far. I am in SW Pa, by Pittsburgh, and very glad that we didn't get the deep snow that NW PA did, as well as the other states.

·1 year agoWe haven't had too much snow here-just a few inches. But it has been in the 20's all day with very low wind chills.
When I used to go to the beach, I loved to see the whales....how neat! Stay warm!

·9 months agoWell, It was originally called All Hallows Eve. What other change did you have in mind? In Detroit and thereabouts I think it is called "Mischief Night".

·1 year ago@whotoldya. We are still working on our big Halloween fundraiser. Lots of last minute details to take care of.
We had donations of candy from the local gifting group i belong to.
We get around 1200 people each night. We are open 30, 31st, and Nov 1st. It's lots of work but also lots of fun for good causes.
