Happy Holidays!
Keith did a great job decorating the tree since I'm about as helpful as a one-armed paper hanger. Another 4 weeks in this sling for me. I had rotator cuff surgery on Nov 11th. Dr said 6 months recovery. Typing is a pain, literally so I will sign off wishing you all the best! @whotoldya

Halloween
I am not able to reply to your post, DWB. When my girls were young, we had maybe 30 Halloweeners. But now, since everyone has grown and moved away, we haven't had any for many years. I live on a dark rural road with speeding cars, so it really isn't safe to walk around here. My daughter and 12 year old grandson both have Covid, so he won't be coming here. They were contagious last Sunday when I went to dinner at their house, but so far I am okay. Their cases are not bad, but Covid is dangerous for me. Their symptoms showed up on Tuesday. Denise

Hope this finds all you in the hurricane path safe and sound
I've been watching the news and of course I thought of you DWB. I hope you are safe and sound. This will be my last post. I'm leaving eBay for good. Pretty much leaving online selling for good as well. Too old. Too tired. And the only stuff I have left isn't worth the effort to try and sell it. So take care everyone. It's been a long strange trip...

Here's a "bird story" for DWB
@whotoldya Here's a bit of bird excitement we had recently. A Harris Hawk was peaking in our front window on the 27th We thought at first that it was just over heated and put water out for it on the porch that it stood in for a long time. We do have a bird bath under our large tree out front too. Later we discovered it had an injured wing. So we had to capture it and take it a wildlife rescue center across town. I am sure you have a great respect for how dangerous handling a hawk can be! I threw a sheet over it and then picked it up to put it in a box. I was ALMOST quick enough not be injured but I did end up with a very small puncture on my hand and had to have a tetanus shot and antibiotics. Wish I had thought about putting garden gloves on first! I was so in a panic to help the poor thing. We have a number of Harris Hawk nests in our neighborhood. Hope you're doing ok. Jenny
