Need help identifying mark on small canister
Summary: nanniestreasurechest sought confirmation on the translation of Arabic text on a small ceramic canister, initially receiving conflicting results suggesting origins in Yemen and China. melda58 advised adjusting the photo orientation for better readability, leading to a successful fix. Finally, rockrancher confirmed the text translates to "Made in China" and is simply a country-of-origin stamp in Arabic.
I've done several searches on this mark and get different results. Once I got that it says "Made in Yeman" and the last search I did says "The Arabic text stamped on the bottom of this blue ceramic piece which translates to "Made in China." Could anyone verify for sure what it says? It is a small canister with a lid that might be used for spices. Picture of the canister in the comments.

“Made in China.”
That’s all — it’s just the country‑of‑origin stamp printed in Arabic instead of English.

OPJul 11, 2026 at 1:52 AMI finally got it figured out. AI kept saying it meant "Made in China" or "Made in Yeman". AI couldn't make up it mind. It is Arabic. Turns out it actually says it's "made in Bahrain" and that's an Arabian oryx on the front.

OP1 month agoI tried to rotate it. It shows right on my computer but for some reason it turned when I posted.
