·Oct 12, 2026 at 5:08 PMFrom the color in your photo, this may be brass rather than copper. Brass has that yellow-gold tone, while copper leans pink-orange. Teapots with these swirled sides and tall handles were imported in big numbers in the '70s and '80s, often from India, so check the bottom for a stamp. Most were made as decorative pieces. If you're thinking of using it, look inside first. An untinned interior isn't meant for hot drinks.
