I did’nt see a book board. I have a first American Edition and first printing. Not pristine, but I’ve seen some in worse shape selling for couple of hundred? Included some photos.

·8 months agoI would google it and see if there is a reference on Harry Potter first editions. There are many details. American editions tend to be common and condition is very important. Need to know if it's a first edition jacket and NO kids marks or library marks or labels. Check every page.

·8 months agoThere is no price on the flap which suggests it's a Book Club Edition. The BCE 1st American printing copies listed now are asking from $40-225. I'd overlook the highest asking price. If your condition is "fine" or "near fine" you could probably expect to sell for $50-60.

·8 months agoThere is a book board. Go into eBay Groups, then eBay Categories and you’ll see the choice for Books. It’s not in Product Categories - go figure.

·8 months agoLooks like your jacket is missing the $16.95 price though. May want to check out the state points to make sure is really is a first printing. I am not expert when it comes to that book.

OP8 months agoIt sounds in worse shape. We all know what the selling price is is not the getting price. I saw one that had sold for best offer, and the asking price was around 200.00. It was in worse shap than mine too.
I appreciate your input, will explore more!

·8 months agoNice. I have not looked recently, but I'd be surprised that the American edition would go that cheap with the UK first getting 6 figures.
