What is the ukulele played by Marilyn Monroe in movie "Some like it Hot" worth?
I recently watched the 1920s gangster movie "Some Like It Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Joe E. Brown. There is a scene of Marilyn on a railroad car singing and playing the ukulele. I'm thinking this would be a great prop for movie collectors. It looks like it no longer exists. Can't find any record of it still existing. What is it worth especially if she signed it? I'm guessing at least $100,000.
Also, I recently found a collection of letters typed and signed by Joe E. Brown who starred in the movie as a rich yacht owner. I sold them on eBay for $50 to $100 each. Also, I recently sold a souvenir medal from the Indiana Jones movie "Temple of Doom" for $30. I know a dealer who sold a mixture of Indiana Jones original props and souvenirs for $12,000.

·2 years agoRegardless if she signed it or not it would have significant value if it was an actual "Martin" produced uke in white finish. (rare to the point they don't exist from that era or before) Martin instrument collectors would go bonkers for something like this especially with any connection to MM.
