Waterford Picture Frame Question
Good morning - does anyone know why this Waterford frame has two pieces sticking out of the back of it; there is one on each side located in the middle of the frame; the pieces have a hole in the center. It is self-standing with the glass piece at the bottom so not sure what these are for. Any help is appreciated!

·4 months agoEven wooded frames have a cardboard backing - that is what is missing from this frame - the picture goes up against the glass, and then the backing goes on, the two holes are where the clips that hold the picture and backing against the glass - it would just fall out if they didn't have that - Same as the wooden ones, but they use nails to hold the picture and backing.

OP4 months agoI understand that it is probably to hold a backing in place. But, I just can't figure out what is missing to hold the clips, etc. in place ~ what piece actually connects to the holes.

·4 months agoOn a smaller Waterford frame that I have - the "pins" or moveable pieces that hold the Felt covered backing piece to the frame are built into the Felt covered backing piece, not the Waterford itself, that just has slots on mine.
I suspect it is pretty much the same for yours.

OP4 months agoThank you for your response. The only problem with that would be the bottom piece sticks out further it wouldn't lay flat against the wall.

OP4 months agoNo, it is not removable. The bottom piece is part of the frame.
