Researching unknown artist

I have three paintings clearly signed "Parma", but can't find an artist by that name, and don't think they have anything to do with Parma Italy. My guess is that my husband (deceased) purchased them at an art show in the late 1970's, likely in Florida. There are no markings on the backs, and all 3 are oil on some sort of board (see pic). The horizontal city scene is roughly 50" x 24". The other 2 are both 31" long. The lighthouse is 10" wide, and the 3 people is 16 1/2" wide. Any information is greatly appreciated!!

·4 months agoVertical rectangular linear shapes, similar color palette = same artist in my opinion. Still thinking tourist pieces but 24 x 50 decreases those chances since something that size is difficult to transport (especially from Italy to the US in a tourist's suitcase). I would say the "city" one is more abstract and colorful, more interesting, and my favorite of the 3. Colors shown (green and amber is how I would describe two of the colors) I could easily claim are "1970s design" type colors, lending credence to a 1970s date.
Suggesting you seek further help in identification. Probably will take someone (pretty much an "expert" - not me - specifically about 1970s Italian Art) to get the kind of authoritative answer you desire. I say Italian since Parma is actually the sole evidence of potential (but not yet proven) place of origin.

·4 months agoAs some of us suggested when you first posted one of these paintings earlier this month, these are home decor wall art with mid-century look to them. "Parma" may be a made up name in my opinion not a known artist. They are attractive and given the size, probably would interest buyers if you're looking to sell them. The pieces are so different from one another which may also indicate a made up artist name. My opinion only, others may disagree.

OP4 months agoI posted a second time because I was unable to figure out how to edit my original post to add the additional photos, dimensions, etc. I think your assessment may be correct, since I have been unable to find any information. I was hoping the information about likely coming from an art show might help. Guess we'll see. Thank you.
