CAN ANYONE SAY IF THIS IS REAL OR FAKE? I SAW A FAKE NEW VERSION OF IT WITH OBVIOUS CHEAP CLOSURE. THIS CLOSURE IS A SPRING AND IS STRONG BUT BENT. LOOKS LIKE NICKLE, SILVER OR GERMAN SILVER BUT I DIDNT WAN TO POLISH. ID LOVE TO FIND A NEW HOME FOR IT BUT I DONT HAVE THE EXPERTISE. FOUND IN A 1890S MANSION BASEMENT. THANKS FOR ANY TIPS! mkv

·1 year agoI have at times sold fake or reproduction badges. That looks like one of those. I used to get them through Rhyne & Son out of Georgia. I'd have to say that is an older reproduction but like others said, check it out

·1 year agoI have not been there in years and the last time i was there they had a Sergio Leone display along with a massive colt collection. Of course, i really went there to see Gene's Martin D45 (#1) which was amazing.
side note.
A while back when i lived in that area i was selling Dennis Quaid a guitar and pitched him a Gene Autry signed D45 reissue that Martin built in the 90's. He laughed when i showed it to him and told me that was his uncle. 😀 It was a really cool conversation.
