Need help with this Cloisonne Teapot
Hey, I've had this gorgeous Cloisonne teapot for sometime. I'd like some help identifying the maker, culture, age, etc., Not sure how to list or price it. Also, the handle is not attached, and am not sure how to go about attaching it to look at least fairly original. And would the handle be attached on the inside or the outside of the raised pieces on the teapot? Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated 🙂

·3 years agoDid you see this one from "solds"? I thought it was interesting that the cartouche panels were shaped in a very similar way to yours. Listing gives a suggested artisan's name. Note the bale handle is attached with a very simple pin, but I saw a few where the bolt was finished like a smaller version of the finial on the lid. Just some thoughts, not an expert.

·3 years agoIt's Japanese and beautiful. The orientation (where did that word come from?) of the handle seems correct but of course missing the bolts on either side. If is is not signed I don't know how you will ever find the name of the artisan. but maybe...
