It can be hard to keep interested researchers responding to your queries -- if they don't feel like they'll be heard and responded to.
When you ignore the replies on your recent threads AND ignore private DM messages regarding your posts, I have very little enthusiasm in going out of my way like I normally do.

Your own courtesy and self awareness are a good way to keep people answering your questions.
