Don't forget the wonderful Navajo Germantown eyedazzler weavings in which the Navajo weaver would sew on fringes after it was taken off the loom. I would hate to see someone cut off those fringes and "balls" thinking they weren't original after reading these comments.
Research eBay's policies CAREFULLY. If past posts on these boards over the past few years are any indication the term "Native American" will get you an instant knuckle cracking visit from a very judgemental BOT.
If it has fringe on both ends, you can eliminate the possibility of it being Navajo, or Native American, since the Navajo use a unique loom, making that impossible. And no other tribe in the United States is known for making rugs that they sell commercially. It's the easiest way to eliminate one possibility.
