Chenghua is the year name of Zhu Jianshen, the eighth emperor of Ming Dynasty.It was used for 23 years from the first year of Chenghua (1465) to the 23rd year of Chenghua (1487).

·3 years agoIt appears to be a commemorative Chenghua mark (Ming 1465-1487) on a Japanese Imari piece, probably dating late 19th-early 20th C. Less common, but not rare.

·3 years agoTwo spur marks and six incredibly small marks? That's not a underside format I am familiar with. It's a very nice, well-decorated piece. I'd guess early 19th century, but that's just an educated guess.
My advice is to contact PL Combs antiques in Massachusetts. They'll either give you an email to send your images to or point you to the BidAmount site where you can get a video appraisal for $12. An amazing price for truly expert advice.
