FAKE items are being sold on EBAY

Hello there,

I am collector of Carruth Studio pieces and have been for over 10 years. There is a seller on eBay that is trying to promote their piece as a Carruth when I in fact know it is a FAKE. Months ago I did contact the seller (of the first eBay listing number below) and politely explained that the piece they are claiming is a Carruth is not and they only responded with an "ok thanks" and never changed their listing nor removed it from the Carruth gallery.

The pieces the two sellers are trying to sell are under false pretenses. Carruth pieces are all amazingly unique in themselves and are specifically marked with CARRUTH & year on their pieces that are made of a stone concrete. George Carruth has been in this business going on over 30 years. Seeing these sellers sell false crap saying they are Carruth's is beyond terrible.

Only the mgfr can have these fake items shut down. If you do contact the company about this, be sure to tell them to join Ebays VERO group, that will give them the power to cancel any fake listings.

I can completely relate to your frustration. If I were as passionate about it as you, I'd contact Carruth studios and give THEM the details of what you have found.

Ebay is

1. Understaffed and without any expertise to weigh in.

And:

2. Assumes that you're a seller in competition with the store you're concerned with.

If Mr. C (or his estate) was to cry foul, however, that may be a rare instance of ebay actually swatting a dishonest seller/store.

No one here can help - we are just volunteers on a discussion board and do not represent the company. You can report the sellers to eBay and if enough buyers do that, eBay may step in.
