Elvis Presley collection
Summary: psfoster1 has a large box of Elvis memorabilia from the 1970s, including clippings, fan club mail, and membership cards, and is seeking advice on its value and how to list it. 1786davycrockett responded, noting that most Elvis items, especially those from posthumous eras, are generally not valuable due to their mass production, with high-value items typically originating from the early 1950s.
I have a huge box full of Elvis clippings from the 70s and a ton of mail and other stuff from several Elvis fan clubs. Like membership cards, even some award thing, it's really a disgusting amount of stuff. The person it used to belong to was quite obsessed with Elvis I guess. I'm just wondering what to expect or how to list it all, how much it might all be worth etc. It's A LOT.
Any Elvis collectors or fans that might have an idea?

·1 week agoFun box to dig through! I'd go through it before deciding it's all low value. Stuff from the 70s fan clubs, while he was still alive, does have collectors, especially membership cards, newsletters and anything with an official club name on it. I'd sort it into piles (clippings, fan club mail, cards, the award) and sell it as a few smaller lots rather than one giant one. Just my two cents.

·2 weeks ago@psfoster1 Most Elvis Presley items are worthless, particularly those from after his death, because they were produced in very huge quantities.
The items which are of particular value are from the very early 1950s, before he was drafted.
