·2 years agoBut they are easily faked which is why they need to be looked at in person by a knowledgeable person and not just an unverified photo.

Those super ancient items requires archaeological proof.The Chinese Shang Dynasty stone frog below ，although it is also easy to fake， is very valuable just it has.
The Shang Dynasty was the period when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt.😑

OP2 years agoThe necklace is about 40" long and has about 480 pearls or beads all of them irregular in shape. The largest scarab beetle is 1 1/2" long and has markings on the bottom with a blue genre glaze. The little Pharaoh is very detailed and about 2" long. Had it about 20 years and came from a private estate in southwest Ohio. Might be something sold by the Cincinnati Art Museum because they used to have wonderful sales of unwanted items once a year.

·2 years agoThe blue beads are faience and are still being made today and without proper macro in focus close ups, we'll never know for sure. Take them to your local Egyptologist.

OP2 years agoTwo things I notice right away is the huge number of beads or pearls. Must modern beaded or pearl necklaces have less than 100 and the dark patina on the beads or pearls might indicate a lot of age. It could be an in between situation. Not ancient or modern. Maybe, only several hundred years old and restrung. I'll ask the museum if they have an expert in Egyptian artifacts. The Cincinnati museum sometimes has a day when patrons can bring in special items to be looked at by curators. I welcome more feedback from those that know artifacts on eBay. Thanks for the good feedback so far.
