Does Anyone Have Any Information On This Item
This Furnivals Limited vanity set was in my dad's curio cabinet for many years..he died at 80 years old in the 1990's. I have been trying to research it and I can find info on Furnivals Limited but can't find this pattern or a pattern called Bour-Bon. I am trying to sell off a lot of things now that I am older and my family is not interested in collectables. Any ideas on value? Thank you.

·5 months agoBonjour,
There is a "Furnivals Pottery Group on Facebook, somebody could perhaps tell you about the design.
On "thepotteries.org"site there is a page about Furnivals where this stamp is dated 1890-1913.
There are many Furnivals pieces for sale, but most of them are monochrome.

Here is the most comprehensive list of Furnivals patterns that I could find, but it isn't shown here:

The design, especially the bunches of violets, appears to be hand painted. It's possible that the manufacturer produced it plain and unpainted. The decoration may have been added after it was sold/distributed, by an independent artist. China painting was practiced both professionally, and as a money-earning hobby in the early to mid 20th century.
