There are a number of sellers making a bad name for coin dealers. They are selling buffalo nickels as dateless for a lot of money. There are no real dateless buffalo nickels. All listed show great wear over the entire coin.
"No, the U.S. Mint never intentionally minted Buffalo nickels without dates. Every dateless Buffalo nickel was minted with a visible date, but lost it due to heavy wear. The date on the Buffalo nickel was placed on the raised shoulder of the Native American, making it the highest point on the coin. Consequently, decades of everyday commerce naturally rubbed the dates off."

·4 months agoAre they passing these off as a desirable rarity or merely selling them as a 100-year-old worn coin? If the latter, I don’t see the harm; if the former, you know the old saying attributed to PT Barnum about who is born every minute. Just like trying to sell a Cheeto or tree limb shaped like a divine being for a sizable amount of money.
Someone who buys it needs protection from self-inflicted monetary damage.
