C.T. antique porcelain mark. What manufacturer is this?
Here I attach the image of very old (probably 18th century) porcelain mark with crossed LL and C.T.
This is certainly not Carl Tielsch &Co. Altwasser... but my question is, what can this be?
Sevres, Limoges ? Not sure...

·2 years agoSeeing the full piece would be awesome. The chance of finding a Sèvres from the 1700s is so wildly rare, I, for one, would like to see the glaze and form before endorsing the authenticity of the mark.

OP2 years agoIt looks to me, that times, when discussion boards and chats of eBay were full of people are gone now...
Discussion board is hard to find and hard to find the exact discussion, even of my own...
I am sure, most newbies have not heard about of the existence of them!

·2 years agoFirst problem:
Reorganization of the boards a few years back. Some boards were eliminated, many were moved where they could not be found intuitively, and others were combined in odd ways. (Such as this one was. What do Collectibles and Art have in common?) Board traffic dropped precipitously.
Second problem:
User behavior discouraged many of the regulars, who went elsewhere on the web to share their knowledge. They were fed up with: People who post but never return to see the responses. People who return but only to get the info they want, while failing to acknowledge or thank those who provided it. People who post regularly for help but themselves never offer even a smidgen of help to anyone else.
