I doubt that there are very many people on these boards who have experience with melting copper. I did Google "melting Copper" and it looks like there is a lot of information about procedures and such online, but you probably already know that.
If you are just wanting other people to "sit around and trade ideas" with you, I think the internet would have more to offer than these boards.
