CM Russell
I acquired two prints with an artist signature of CM Russell along with what appears a year and bull head? How can I determine the quality and value (if any)? From angles, it appears to be printed on a thin canvas. Thank you for your knowledge.

OP2 years agoPlease disregard the comment about uploading error. I would still appreciate some insight. Thank you.

·2 years agoIt is highly likely that you have offset mechanical reproductions. If you take a strong magnifying glass or loupe up close to the picture, you may see tiny regular dots throughout the entire image. If you do, you have an offset reproduction. You should be able to find numerous similar ones online with "sold" prices. If you don't see those tiny dots, let us know.

·2 years agoThe signature sounds like it might be Charles Marion Russell, who was a well known artist who did scenes of the American West. His work has been reproduced many times. You will need to upload some photos for us to be able to help you with your prints.
Here are some examples of his signatures.

OP2 years agoThat's exactly what they seem to be!

·2 years agoHi @collegefundpicker Do you have any photos you can post? Use the icon along the top of a reply that looks like a camera to upload some photos, or you can just copy and paste them in. Good luck!

OP2 years agoI have tried to copy/past, but an error pops up that "You do not have permission to upload images".
And the little camera asks for an URL and I don't know how to do that.

·2 years agoIf original, you are looking at $150,000 to $200,000 for the pair but they are not. You might take one out of the frame and look for small dots that compose the picture. Post a few macro pics (extreme close-ups)
