Cat figurine ID

Can someone give me some help on these cat figurines? Simple question first. I see these type figures listed on ebay as ceramic and porcelain . What is the difference and how do you tell?

Cat 1 is 9" tall and tan in color. Assume Siamese. marked on the bottom "By Carol??. Can not make out lasst two letters but something tried to emboss.

Cat 2 is 9" tall and bluish grey in color. Again assume siamese. marked on bottom with an M or W.

Cat 3 is approximately 5 " tall. Long haired . Black over grey. Bottom is KLIVIVY S #4. It feels ceramic

they both appear to be hobbyist or classroom work purchased as greenware from a paint-your-pottery shop.

all fired clays are ceramic, porcelain is a very high fired ceramic which is translucent. your pieces are probably low fired earthenware. I read the name on the second as Kenny
