    I need help identifying this figurine.  Is it a donkey or horse, is it a monk pushing it and who is the decorator?  I cannot seem to find any of this on my own. Thanks.

    The man is Saint Francis of Assisi.  Given the size of the animal, I would say that it is a surely supposed to be a donkey.   There are stories associating St Francis with both donkeys and horses, among many other animals, of course.
