Hello,
I have a lot of autographed "souvenirs" from my late Father, who used to drive artists on tour a long time ago. Many of the autographed photos/items have his name on them. I assume that as long as I tell the reasoning, it is still ok to sell?
I also have a detailed tour book calendar of a really famous artist from one of their tours in the early 2000's, however, it has personal phone numbers of people on the tour. Is there a disclaimer about selling something with their numbers? Should they be redacted? Should there be a disclaimer on my post?
I did find a post with this same question, but only if whether or not it is valuable.
Thank you!

·4 months agoYou can certainly sell the autographed photos and if you wish, describe the provenance (ownership history).
As to whether or not the phone numbers in the tour book should be made public, if it were me, I'd cover those up in a photo listing to protect the privacy of those involved even if 20+ years have gone by.

OP4 months agoThanks @melda58 ! Of course, I agree and would certainly cover the names/numbers on the listing images. But I also wanted to get input as to the ethics of privacy once it is sold. To clarify, should the buyer have the numbers? Is the buyer paying to have all of the information, including names and personal numbers?
I just don't want anything to come back and bite me in the butt. Looking through it now, it contains names, emails & phone numbers of every single person involved who works on and with the tour. It only includes names and role of all the performers. The rest of the book is just operational details of each day and location.
I appreciate your input and anyone else's!

·4 months agoYou asked if you should redact the numbers, and I don't know what you mean by a disclaimer. What are you disclaiming?
Ethics is one thing, the law is another. I couldn't advise on either but maybe someone else feels qualified to do so.
The buyer is paying for the whole thing you describe and show in your listing unless you state exclusions very clearly. Maybe you should contact an auction house to sell it for you if you are worried.
