·7 months ago@impactthriftinc I would guess, IF authentic, it could be worth $1,000 or several thousand. If you have any provenance, that would help. And you might want to try to get it authenticated. You might already know this, but the first thing I would do is look at this with a magnifying glass....if the image is composed of tiny dots, it is almost certainly a reproduction. Also, providing the dimensions would be helpful.
Here's hoping it is authentic, but it is pretty hard to tell just from those photos.

·7 months agoIf it is a print of a photo, it will have tiny dots. A photo will be smooth. However, I would guess these days with technological advances, if it is a newer repro of some sorts, it might not have the dots. It's just something one can look at quickly. If it has the tiny dots , I personally would stop there. If it doesn't have the dots, I would do further research, or perhaps take it to an expert for an evaluation.

·7 months agoThe Whitman pictures I see for sale here and in the sold area seem to be reprints and not actually an antique photo. At least they are questionable to me. Note the seller starting with Miami that has several Whitmans often times has multiple quantities of the picture available.
Yours appears like it could be the real thing pasted to a backing paper and if so would stand out from the others I think. I think the right buyer could bring some money as he is quite popular still.

There is one that appears to be like yours listed on eBay for $8.39 (price has been reduced) plus $6.00 shipping. Only one WW photo in the sold listings, again for only about $8.00.
It all depends on whether you want to list it with a cheap price and wait to see if someone buys it. Personally, I wouldn't bother, but that's my opinion.
