4 Paws is correcto. The item is a token. There is an organization that has a computerized encyclopedia of tokens (primarily USA). Heron does not remember the name of the organization but you probably can find it using the Googly function.
That is a token not a coin. You would have to do some research to find out who made it. Tokens are very collectible every thing from the coal mine tokens to old oil company, bus tokens ,. Good luck with it. I do not collect tokens so that is all i can tell you.
