WARES MY, MAIL
Over 2 BILLION pices of MAIL in the US get thrown away or Auctioned off EVERY year,
All because of the writeing
If the post office is not able to read what people write on the envelope IT'S sent to A center Ware they try again
This place is like A CSI TV SHOW
If they don't fix it Then it goes to A bin
For 60 DAYS, if not claimed After 60 DAYS,
The post office then opens them up
Anything over $25 gets Auctioned off any CASH IS THE POST OFFICE PROPERTY
Everything else gets destroyed
Most of this is ONLINE PURCHASES
TO avoid this always take A picture of your MAIL SALES
It's easy use your phone This has helped me, with 2 or 3 sales
By sending A message with A picture attached A few hours, before it goes into the mail
I've, had buyers reply that I, had the wrong address TWICE it was fixed before it was mailed
This is A safer way to mail anything of value

I am not a quick wit
I mostly just wing-it
PS: I used to work on a paint crew way back in the 90ies. Mostly did masking and brushwork but I was the only guy on the crew who could move a 40' ladder by hisself, (would not go up it though, left that to the smaller guys:) You have a nice day and good luck in all your endeavors

Hmm, I once thought I could kick your **bleep** until you said that you humped a hundred of gallons of paint up 10 flights of stairs 5 gallons at a time, (I hope it wasn't a hot day). Never-the-less, do not stoop to insults. It reflects poorly on your upbringing.

@moderncoins999
Are you posting this complaint as a buyer or as a seller?
Did you sell something that the post office wasn't able to deliver?
Or did you buy an item that you didn't receive because they couldn't read the writing?
Please clarify your issue.

·1 year agoSo, after a buyer makes a purchase from you, they contact you and tell you that they accidentally gave you the wrong address? And then you "fix" it before mailing? OK, how are you certain that the buyer is the actual buyer and not just me or someone else trying to snag a valuable coin from you?
greatstuff80
·1 year agoYup. Change the official ebay mailing address is a sure way for a seller to get skunked. No seller protection. This person is screaming do not deal with me. smh

·1 year agoWhat does taking a picture of "your mail sales" do exactly?
Take a picture of the transaction on eBay? Take a picture of the package?
soh.maryl
·1 year agoCan't speak for other mail that goes through the USPS, but don't most eBay sellers PRINT the labels for the packages they are sending out? Have bought from quite a few online sources over the years and have not ever received a package where the label was not printed rather than written.
And if a buyer receives a defective item, and the seller wants it back before refunding, doesn't the seller send the buyer a PRINTED return label? (Yes, I know this is not done for international returns.)
moderncoins999
OP1 year agoAre you buying me, A printer THIS IS A HOBBY NOT A BUSINESS
buyselljack2016
·1 year agoprinters can be had on the cheap.
printers are outstanding for doing an ESE label rather than just using a postage stamp.
I think I am a "hobby" seller, but selling "online" is business.
My printer has paid for itself just by my not having to try to write out a legible label and then cart a package off to the Post Office. YMMV
Nearest office, and my office cannot do QR code labels, and have limited hours.

·1 year agoMost – maybe all – can understand what the OP is writing. Sure, there are misspellings, grammatical errors. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe English isn’t his first language. Maybe he is using speech to text. Maybe writing isn’t his thing.
powell-collectibles
·1 year agoWrong on a couple of points. First, if a seller provides a return label, it wouldn't likely be a physical label - it would be something like a PDF. Second, it is absolutely untrue that an international seller cannot provide a return label. I'm not sure why people keep pushing this idea that int'l sellers can't provide return labels. Fine if you don't know, but you've been corrected on this one before. Understood, you are repeating what you have read, but best to go and check if you wish to continue providing this information.
And, yes, I'd think that the majority of sellers print labels. BUT, a good percentage do not. I received four packages last week that hand written labels. Depending on what is being sold, and the volume of sales, hand writing labels isn't really a horrible choice, as long as they can right legibly.
annadryl
·1 year ago"Most of this is online purchases" where they are lost? It's 2025, handwritten addresses are more for postcards now.
Can you access a printer, some paper and clear tape? Online labels save much money too.
If you are the buyer then the MBG is an easy remedy, annoying, but that seller won't be around much longer anyway.

·1 year agoWhen I send the occasional low-value stamp (or coin maybe) in an envelope with a stamp, I:
- Print a packing slip and cut the name and address out of the upper left.
- Tape this to my envelope in the address area, covering the whole little patch with a bit of clear packing tape. This is the name and address provided by ebay. And it's NOT handwritten.
- Stamp it, ship it.
*edit* I include the remaining packing slip in there with a quick written "thank you".
I also use a nice return address label in the upper left. It looks professional and stamp collectors at least appreciate the stamp. Use a nice current commemorative stamp, not a common booklet "flag" type. Show's you're thoughtful and creative.
But, seriously, If you're gonna be in business you should have at least an inexpensive printer. The savings in labels is dramatic, especially if you ever need to ship anything more than simple letters.

·1 year agoThis discussion of mail reminded el Heron of an incident that occurred about 22 years pasado. One morning Mrs Heron was searching for information. Using her own laptop whilst Heron was working with our company computer. Mrs Heron found a list of so-called abandoned property. The amount was around $190.00 U.S. So, Mrs Heron requested a paper form from the state department of abandoned property. The form was received by the Herons about 10 days later. Heron filled out the paper form and forgot to put the street address. Heron did fill in the 'box' with area Zip code and the 4 numbers after the 5 numbers. About 3 weeks later we received the check for about $190.00. The Herons shared 50-50. Such a deal...! Zip codes are good...!
