the big Racine one is neat because the white Michigan piece of the Capital holder and the black background part are two different pieces...

·9 months agoHola Mr. Smedley...! Your post reminds el Heron of the coin club issue of a sort of commemorative type. Heron cannot remember when you posted information. Been 5 or 6 years possibly. Item issued by a coin club in Canada?

OP9 months agoif it's not these, i'll take another look...
the two on the left were the only ones that came to mind, the one on the right was next to them in the album...
interestingly, the silver medal isn't marked, but it's listed as sterling on the wikipedia page for the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association medals and awards... easily found using google...

·9 months agoHola Mr Smedley...! the Alt Heron did some research regarding the Toronto, Canada coin club. In 1963, the Toronto coin club issued a type of 'commemorative' medallion.
It is silver at .999 fine. Minted by the Wellings Mint. From information issued by the Toronto Coin Club, this medallion is also available in Copper. Info sources, Numista and Toronto Coin Club.
