2026 EBAY WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE
A year, of everybody's WRITEING / OPPIONS/ DIFFERENCES/ IS now History
I, see changes coming like A elite crop of sellers VERS the elite BUYERS or the CHEEP sellers who push VOLUME
The Mail will cost more AS USUAL
Maybe not really the fake stuff STAYS
I, DONT see it being fixed As for that
This is how collecting goes
What changes would you like to see

·9 months agoI add plenty of item specifics and let AI generate the description, then I edit/cut out the fluff and unnecessary wording.
Or I could come up with an entirely new description from scratch.

·9 months agoSome items need and deserve no more information than is in an AI generated description.
Other items require information that many sellers lack.
Some sellers know enough and write enough to meet a buyer's needs. They often help the buyer to know enough to buy from someone else.

You do not have a freedom of speech right on eBay.

·9 months agoI do not see much changing.
IMO the creation of the BBE was a fabulous surprise change and if there is going to be anything new, it will be further restraints on international sellers who cannot meet Ebay and its buyer's customer service expectations.
If Ebay can find a bot to kill offshore sellers who dropship from retail websites, I believe they would set one loose. Though it is not high on my want list because I do not buy overpriced merchandise.

This!!! The AI generated descriptions are useless. I want information about the item, not a story about how I need this in my collection.
The sellers who use AI seem to not include measurements, condition, weight, etc., Lazy sellers. Lazy AI.
I skip over those items if the seller does not provide any information about what they sell. A puffed up AI description is wasting every buyers time and patience.

·9 months agoyep... i have yet to see an AI description that had ANY useful info...

·9 months agoThe AI used to describe movies on DVD can be very useful. It's non-biased and basically says the same thing that is printed on the case. Saves the seller a bunch of time in not having to type it all into the listing.
That's very simple AI.
It might be useful for specialty type items, but the seller usually needs to append specific info to whatever the AI spits out.
In all cases, you need to read, and read again what the AI states to make sure it is correct. Kinda like a spell-check, which is what some posters here need to use ...

·9 months agoif you have to double-check, it's useless... it would take less time to type it in...

·9 months agoWhat changes do I want to see?
For starters, I would like to see more use of spell check - and less random capitalization of words.

·9 months agoHola Mr Smedley...! Heron agrees that spellcheck in action, plus punctuation, would be a very good improvement.

·9 months agoAnyone is allowed to offer opinions or suggestions here as long as they follow the rules and are courteous.
Just because a person sells one particular item only, that does not mean that they're not allowed to offer an opinion about other things. And they are correct -- spell check and punctuation can help a lot.
And, before you reply, let me just say that I do not sell anything here and have been only a buyer for probably 15 yrs or more.

·9 months agoHola moderncoins...! Yes indeed...! Back in the 1940s and into the 1960s, we did play board games. Mostly Monopoly. A fun way to spend a rainy afternoon in central Florida. Or other places as well. Especially during the early days when there was no such thing as TV. And even during the 1950s and 1960s when TV wasn't interesting.
Except for some movies that were interesting. Monopoly was our primary fun place.
