I once ordered some tobacco from North carolina to Alaska, UPS Ground. It arrived on my porch LESS THAN 48 hours later!! Absolutely amazing! To this day, I am still not sure how that possibly could have happened, but, it did.

@inhawaii ,
Lately I've had a spate of 2-4 day deliveries from distant states, beating the estimated delivery time frames. It does sometimes depend on what time of day in a seller's time zone you make a purchase, if they have same or 1 day handling times.
Considering that there are between 100- 150 flights per day from LAX, SFO, SANdiego, direct to Oahu, Maui... and other Islands, the USPS and other shippers use those flights for small package delivery to Hawaii, even USPS Ground Advantage packages are sent that way. So as long as a shipper's Honolulu facility isn't working on Hawaiian time, it shouldn't be too surprising that a package made in in 2 days.
Too bad some sellers still think Mainland to Hawaii shipping takes weeks for delivery to be accomplished, so they won't ship to the islands.

·4 months agoUsually when that happens to me it is because the seller drop ships from Amazon. 🙄

·4 months agoI had one get from my house in the Pac NW to southern Florida in two days just last week. Other times it's like:

·4 months agoI had one like that for a buyer. They got the item in less than 48 hours from when they bought it. And it was shipped halfway across the country.
I have also gotten an item from Florida that arrived to me the next day once.
But typically, these things don't happen. I think sometimes the shipping gods align and the package simply gets lucky zoomed. lol
