Wondering if I got scammed
Hello,
I had placed an order from a seller that I had previously purchased from and received the item. This time the item was payed for and everything seemed good, however when I checked the sellers page it says it has no inventory in my location. I am just wondering if I got scammed.

There are thousands of international sellers on ebay who ship to the U.S..
Just about every seller you have bought from so far is registered in, and ships from Japan. They do not have any stock stored in the U.S.. Every listing you open has an Item Location in it just below the add To Cart or Watch list buttons, in the Shipping cost section. Below that is the estimated delivery time frame.
The sellers you need to watch out for are the ones who use U.S. flag symbols and mentions of being U.S. sellers. They are mostly actually located in China but may have some stock stored in the U.S..
To find out more about the seller to the right of th item price is a Seller information box, with their username number of feedback in ( ) and below that their feedback percentage. You can click on the number in ( ) and you'll be directed to a page with a few feedback comments, below them click on the See All Feedback button. On the page that opens you'll see the numbers of the 3 types of feedback the seller has received. You can click on the numbers of Neutrals and Negatives to read only those comments. If you see many comments mentioning slow shipping, wrong item sent, poor quality, or items not received, you may want to avoid buying from the seller. The rule of thumb for high volume sellers is to avoid those with less than 98.6% ratings. However, you should never go by their percentage alone, always check the profile before buying from any seller. Some have percentages in the 99% range but have received hundreds of negatives.
A low volume/feedback number seller can have a percentage lower than 98.6% for just 1 negative.

OP2 years agoI had bought a second item from the seller since the first item came in and was good. Sorry about the confusion.
