Why was my feedback changed without notification?
I left neutral feedback after a buying experience that was less than optimal. Seller responded to feedback that my account was not true (it 100% was) and that they sent me a message to address it (they did not).
In trying to figure out how to possibly respond I find what appears to be a generic auto generated feedback changing mine from neutral to positive and something along the lines of “great communication and a pleasure to to business with”.
What happened here?

·4 months agoYou should report the seller for dropshipping from Amazon.

You could have added this response to the topic you posted 3 days ago. If you post something here and can't find it, look in the upper right corner of a community page where you will see your ebat generated avatar circle. Hover over it and select My Profile from the menu. On the page that opens under the Info banner on the left you will see Posts Replies Posts is the default and you can click on the tile to open it and respond. Below is a link to it.

Your feedback left was not changed just replied to. You did receive a positive from the seller.
If you want to reply to the seller's reply go to your feedback profile page and click on the Follow up to given feedback button. Then you can reply to their reply if you want to. Buyers get the last word. I wouldn't reply though since your reputation as a buyer only on ebay is judged by the feedback & replies you leave. You've made your point already.

OP4 months agoI apologize, I didn’t think it through to just add it to the previous post since (in my head) it was a different topic.
I see my confusion on what I was looking at thinking something had changed.
I will just let it be. My justice warrior is rearing its head and I need to just let it go. I feel they caused undue stress with their dishonesty, but it is what it is and it’s done. At the end of the day I got what I paid for and how they conduct themselves as a seller is not my problem.

Undue stress? You were given an estimated delivery date and if the item had not arrived by one day past that date, you could have filed an "item not received" claim through eBay and the seller would have had to respond by furnishing tracking showing delivery. If not, you could have asked eBay to step in and they would have forced a refund from the seller. Because of eBay's Money Back Guarantee, you were not going to lose any money so why were you having "undue stress"?

@pickapaper I believe most buyers would be stressed out if their purchase showed "delivered" but it was not actually delivered to them.
You are correct that there are ways to get your money back, but it's still stressful when you think you might have been scammed and you have to contact ebay or your credit card company to get things worked out.
I think the buyer's feedback is appropriate. I also would have reported the seller.

OP4 months agoI see where I got confused with the feedback. It was totally my mistake!
Thank you for seeing things from my perspective. I asked the seller twice to please let me know the address on the shipping label (since tracking just showed it was delivered to a different town than mine with no street name or number) and they completely ignored my request. The whole thing ended up feeling scammy to me.
I had posted about this situation to get advice on if people thought I had been scammed and I did get great feedback and one person did suggest reporting the seller so I ended up doing that.

OP4 months agoIt was undue stress because once they responded to my request to upload the tracking it was sent and delivered via an entirely different shipping service than was stated on the listing to a completely different town with no street number or name. When asked twice to please provide the address that was on the shipping label my question was completely ignored and I was told to “just wait”. The tracking was uploaded only once it was “delivered” and showed that the label was created and item delivered within 10 hours which is physically impossible based on where the item was coming from according to the listing.
I don’t purchase from eBay on a regular basis, maybe a few items a couple times a year and have nothing but seamless positive experiences. This was out of the ordinary, and yes, stressful to me.

I apologize. I misread some of what you said. My fault.

·4 months agoIt's not changed.
No clue why you think it has been (unless you've given more than 1 Neut with a seller response shown)
As much as I wanted to rate the feedback as negative, I did receive the item I paid for in a timely fashion. This seller clearly drop shipped my purchase through Amazon and delivered by USPS, which isn’t an issue for me personally, however they created a label through UPS that got “delivered” to an unknown location in the neighboring town. They did minimally respond to messages but at no point disclosed the drop ship and caused undue stress for days. Buyers beware with this seller.
