Why is there so much garbage in my saved search?

I have a search saved for 1971 Road runner. My intention was to search for used parts for those cars. This search was created probably 5 years ago, or more. Lately, there is so much junk that shows up. I have reported items until I am blue in the face, but the junk listing still keep coming. I don't want to see auctions for Chevrolet owners manuals in my search. Please do something about all the keyword spamming. This website used to be a valuable asset to those of us in the antique car hobby. But now it takes an eternity to find something that is actually a part for the car.

Part of the reason there is so much junk in your search, is the title you have saved, it is too general. When I'm trying to find a part for one of my vintage cars, I use specific searches. There is still some junk in the results but a few show up on the first page. So as an example maybe you should try a search for:

"Rear quarter panel marker light, 1971 Plymouth Road Runner, Satellite, GTX"

That search returned a dozen results mostly for the quarter panels and supports, but also the gaskets for the lamps and an ashtray for the rear seat quarter panel armrest. There were 5 other unrelated items in it as well.

I can't remember off hand how many years that body style was produced but if it was for two or three then you could add them to the search in case a seller listed one for the year of a car they took on off of, and not the production run years.

I've also found it handy to empty my "Garage" since I had several years of Chevy's in it, that I no longer own.

Thanks for your input. I wanted the search general so I did not have to do a hundred searches for bumpers, radios, kick panels, etc etc. my saved search worked for many years, producing mostly the results I was looking for, along with people flipping stuff they buy on amazon and rockauto.com. but now it seems like there is no one at ebay minding the store. Sellers are keyword spamming, so I am getting car parts from 1940s era GM cars on my search.

Search has changed a lot in the last 5 years. Search has changed a lot in the last 6 months.

Create a new search. Apply search filters - motors category offers so many filters. Narrow it down to what you actually want to see based on make/model of the car, then save a new search and delete the old one.
