Why is the SPLC listed as a charity in the checkout system?
Why in god's name is the far-left, democrat front group, the SPLC, listed as a 'charity' in the checkout system? They are in no way a 'charity'. They only exist to slander anyone who doesn't march in lockstep with the democrat party. They've already been sued and lost for slandering people and I'm sure there's more pending lawsuits for slandering. Why is ebay promoting this discredited, hate group that work as the henchmen for dnc? They don't do anything that could even remotely be considered 'charity'. What's next, ebay collecting money for Antifa? Why not include the DNC as a 'charity'?

Well. All of that is just, like, your opinion, man.
From what I have learned about the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), it is my opinion that they do good work.
How they are a charity is kinda indicated, to my mind, by the word "Poverty" in their name. Like, they offer legal assistance to poor people who cannot afford high-priced law firms.
Also, per their own website: "SPLC is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization."
This means they meet the "non-profit organization" definition in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Which makes the SPLC a "charity." Thus, contributions to the SPLC are tax deductible.
Yes, eBay will send money to the SPLC but only when a seller directs eBay to send money to the SPLC.
The eBay seller gets the tax deduction.
BTW, didn't you post a very similar complaint last week, about SPLC's inclusion on eBay's list of charitable organizations? Didn't like the answers you got then? Trying to get "better" answers today?

OP6 months agoNo, I haven't any posted in any community forums in years and I'm sure you can search to see my past posts. It wouldn't surprise me that someone else posted about this though. I'm not basing my post on my opinion. The SPLC have actually slandered people and groups and been sued for it, lost and had to pay damages. Those are all facts, not my opinion based on my feelings. Just because they still have the word 'poverty' in their name doesn't mean much about their present day activities. I'd love to see a break down of how much they actually offer in legal assistance and how much in their usual media smear job activities. They've also had an exodus of employees because how far it's swayed from it's stated mission.
